Nawattaphume International School Lampang
Montessori nursery and kindergarten. International primary school.
Here is an explantion of the Montessori teaching method in her own words:
Scientific observation has established that education is not what the teacher gives; education is a natural process spontaneously carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to words but by experiences upon the environment. The task of the teacher becomes that of preparing a series of motives of cultural activity, spread over a specially prepared environment, and then refraining from obtrusive interference. Human teachers can only help the great work that is being done, as servants help the master. Doing so, they will be witnesses to the unfolding of the human soul and to the rising of a New Man who will not be a victim of events, but will have the clarity of vision to direct and shape the future of human society.

Nawattaphume School - Kindergarten Section
The International Montessori Kindergarten Lampang offers a unique childhood educational programme based on the Montessori method of teaching and philosophy, which is known all over the world for its unique approach to the education of young children.
Small class sizes enable the teachers to observe their students closely in order to discover their needs and interests based on their stages in self-formation and their individual personalities. Our teachers present just the materials or activities to the children that match their development needs. It is the children's subsequent independent use of these materials and activities that learning takes place.
Kindergarten is also preparation for primary education and the Nawattaphume kindergarten teachers work in close cooperation with teachers from the primary section so that kindergarten students can be correctly prepared for the challenges which lie ahead of them once they move up to primary school, and also students are carefully monitored after thay have left kindergarten so that progress and teaching methods can be evaluated and improved. Kindergarten teachers provide expert recommendations to parents as to when the child is ready to progress to the primary level and students who are not yet ready are encouraged to remain in kindergarten until they have all the necessary skills to cope well with the education provided in our primary section.
